On Monday 25th of September, I was not only spoiled with a public holiday, but chocolate in abundance too. It was a strange feeling driving through the CBD area only spotting a car here and there. It felt somewhat like a ghost town, but with some time and absolutely no traffic, I decided it’s time to go try something for our readers.
Honest Chocolate was the first thing to pop into my mind. I’ve heard wonderful things and seen beautiful photographs, so it was only time I try it myself. Entering the small cosy shop on Wale street, I was greeted with the sweet aromas of chocolate. HEAVEN!!!
At the counter a selection of yummy treats were all shouting at me to buy them, but in the end the brownie and croissant with chocolate spread won. Making my way to the outside courtyard it felt like I was swept away to a different country. It had such a relaxing atmosphere, tucked away between the buildings. Perfect to escape from the noisy streets.
With the sun piercing through the clouds, I sat there for a while indulging in my latest discovery and enjoying the calm and tranquil environment. It’s the perfect escape from a busy day or even if you want a quiet place to work. They offer complementary wifi and enough sweet things to keep you going.
Take a look at their website to read more about how Honest Chocolate started and how they make their chocolate. If you’re a cocoa lover, you honestly have to try this. Remember to tag us #SunkissedBlogSa when you share your Honest Chocolate experience.
