On a cold Winter morning, a good friend Dylan Louw and I went to Tables at Nitida for breakfast. I’ve been wanting to try them out for a while, so I immediately agreed to go when Dylan suggested them.
Tables at Nitida is situated on the lovely Nitida wine farm along the Durbanville wine route. They have two restaurants to choose from at Nitida; Tables at Nitida and Cassia. Tables at Nitida is a café style restaurant where you can bring the whole family to relax and enjoy fabulous food.
We were served by a friendly waiter and like most breakfast dates, I started things with a good old fashioned cappuccino. Dylan had a lovely pot of rooibos tea.
This time deciding what to eat wasn’t difficult at all. I came prepared, Dylan suggested the Belgian Waffle Eggs Benedict. I mean Belgian waffles and Eggs Benedict sounds like a win-win to me. Dylan ordered the Smoked Trout Scramble on a freshly baked Croissant that looked mouthwatering good.
Overall we had a pleasant experience and Tables at Nitida will definitely see me again for their Belgian Waffle Eggs Benedict. The café is also ideal to catch up on admin in a lively atmosphere.
