With the cold weather comes an overdose of hot drinks. Normally I would reach for coffee to heat me up during the chilly Winter temperatures, but after realizing the negative affect caffeine have on my body, I’ve decided to try healthier alternatives. This lead me to exploring different teas. Here’s some of my favourites from Woolworths.


Cranberry, Apple & Cinnamon

Not only do I love the colour of the tea, the blend of fruits gives it a sweet and refreshing taste.

Lemon Peel & Ginger Root


It’s a revitalizing tea that I take the moment I feel a bit sick. I add extra lemon and a tea spoon of honey with the blend. It often helps to relieve cold and flu symptoms. All of the ingredients in the tea have their own natural medicinal qualities. When they’re combined, they create a calming and relaxing tea that can ease cold and flu symptoms and boos your immune system. This is definitely a tea I recommend everyone to have in their cupboard during Winter.

Mint Green Tea


I often struggle to drink regular green teas, even though I know it’s extremely good for you. I don’t like the taste and normally force myself to drink it, because of all the benefits it has. Luckily I found the Mint Green tea from Woolies that tastes good. Remember that excess intake may cause Insomnia, restlessness and loss of appetite.

Apart from these three new favourites, I enjoy a good old cup of Rooibos tea.
